Time Publishing & Media Gets Practical Start to Fiscal Year

At the third annual Spring Tea Book Convention, Time Media & Publishing Co., Ltd.,'s General Manager Tian Haiming concluded the ceremony with a speech focusing on the themes of "healthy birth, strong growth, and impressive reforms," which reflected the course that company has taken since it was formed in November 2005 as the Anhui Publishing Group. The company comprises eight publishing houses and fourteen subsidiary companies which produced 5,000 tiltes in 2007 and had nearly 3 billion RMB (US$ 440 million) in sales. In fall 2008, Time Publishing & Media was launched amid the global economic crisis. Among the priorities for the company are making structural adjustments, applying and maintaining pressure towards growth, developing in multiple sectors of the market, tapping into the popular literature market, increasing growth capabilities in the general reading market, as well as increasing its overall market share. As part of wide-reaching overall reforms, Time has set a goal for increasing its talent pool over the next five years while establishing "talent-funding management methods." Tian Haiming has emphasized all the while that during the current economic crisis, Time Media & Publishing will have to maintain strict working standards to remain competitive amid today’s market' challenges.
